Init Blog
Welcome to the first blog post. Like most side projects, this one has taken longer to start than I care to admit, but here we are.
I’ve been in tech for over ten years now, and lately I’ve been thinking about the things I’ve picked up along the way, mostly by stumbling through it. I wanted a space to write some of that down. Not because I have it all figured out, but because writing helps me stay curious, reflect on what I’ve learned, and keep improving (hopefully).
This blog doesn’t have a strict purpose yet. I kind of like it that way.
The idea is to share things I’m learning, building, or breaking. I might write about mistakes I’ve made deploying things, tools I’m experimenting with, or weird bugs I’ve wrestled with at 2 AM. Some posts might be polished and others might read more like lab notes. Either way, I’m writing them down here instead of letting them get lost in Slack threads.
One of the first projects I’ll be writing about is Locksmith, a self-hosted password manager I’m building to move my credentials off shared services. And also to scratch the itch of building something end-to-end in Go. It’s still early, but it’s been a fun excuse to learn about new things.
I’m also hoping that having a public space like this gives me a little more motivation to actually finish something before I get distracted and chase the next idea.
If you stumbled upon this page hoping for consistency, I respect your optimism. But if you’re also into experiments, unfinished ideas, and the occasional deep dive into cloud computing or whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen into… stick around.
Here’s to whatever this becomes.
